I have been practising yoga for twenty years, initially studying with an Iyengar teacher.  In 2005, I discovered the hatha yoga style taught by the Inner Yoga Trust (Scaravelli approach) and I trained with them as a yoga teacher.  I have taught both children and adults in a variety of settings and would like to see yoga becoming part of mainstream education.

I enjoy all aspects of yoga, the philosophy, breathing practices, meditation, postures and Yoga Nidra and I use a variety of these aspects when working both in a group setting and on a one to one basis.

I am qualified in Pregnancy Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage.

I am have studied and am qualified to teach both Mindfulness and Yoga Therapy.

I enjoy working with individuals assisting with specific health related issues where I believe that through becoming more aware of the alignment of body, the breath and through adapted, restful poses the body can begin to heal itself from pain, and disease that results from continued stress and strain.

I teach in person and online yoga and mindfulness classes and courses.  Please see www.mindfullives.org for further information about my yoga and mindfulness classes, courses and workshops.

If you are wanting to find out about Mindfulness Courses for Parents, Teachers, Children and Communities etc then please see me sister organisation The Mindful Parenting and Community Project at www.mpcp.info

I also set up a charitable organisation called The Rege Foundation that works in India with disabled children and their families in more rural areas.  Please see www.theregefoundation.com for more info on this work and how you can also be involved.

I have been practising yoga for over 27 years.  I trained with the Inner Yoga Trust and I have continued to study with teachers who practise in the Scaravelli tradition.  I specialise in teaching students who have M.E., chronic fatigue, stress and burn out.  I can also help clients with muscle pain and tension, stiff joints and limited mobility.

I had M. E. for 8 years, including a period where I was very disabled by it.  I used yoga to support myself through this journey and to help myself heal.  This experience enables me to provide an empathic approach to yoga therapy.  I am available at the clinic, or can make home visits for clients who are unable to leave home or their bed due to mobility or fatigue difficulties.  With clients, I will explore postural habits and look at where tension is being held and assist with ways it can be released. Where appropriate, I will guide clients through supported postures, breathing practises and Yoga Nidra ( a yogic relaxation practise that helps release negative emotions and thought patterns).  We will work together towards achieving better body alignment and encourage a quietening of the mind to help deal with stress and anxiety.  Regular guided practise will help clients to find a space inside where you can feel more comfortable and peaceful.
